STAND UP AND STRETCH FOR GOOD HEALTH! 

Did you know? The average person spends 12 hours in a sedentary position.

Inactivity can increase our risk for many health problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and even premature mortality. Not only are we sitting down too much; the way we posture our body throughout the day is one of the main causes of body aches and pains.

Make it a goal to stand and stretch for at least 3-5 mins every 30 minutes. Taking standing breaks can increase overall energy, enhance productivity, lower your stress, and improve your overall mood!
 
Wellness Tip: Adjust your work space to fit your body’s need!

  • Sit upright on your chair and make sure your upper back is supported while having a slight arch for your lower back.
  • Have your computer monitor be an arm’s length away with the screen positioned at or slightly below eye level.
  • While typing, keep your wrists straight and have your elbows close to the body at a 90-degree angle.
